In the press

Wednesday, January 24th, 2007

The interviewing and filming went well today for WFMZ Channel 69′s piece on Second Life. They are interviewing one or two more other local SL residents plus filming a little bit on location from the Marc Bragg trial on February 5th. I’m guessing that it should air sometime mid to late February. The piece will air first on the local news and then will be on their website.

I talked mostly about content creation and avatar design with a smattering of game versus platform and Web 2.0 technology interspersed throughout the whole.

(Very Belated) Happy New Years and January Update

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

Happy very belated New Years everyone! January has been a decent month thusfar. I am very pleased at how the SLCC 2007 prep work is going. We’ve brought on quite a few new organizers, which has been a blessing. As Flip and I have stated many times before the SLCC is not just us and that while we still want to be involved we don’t want to “be the ones running the show. So we’ve both taken on advisory roles.

One of these weekends I am hoping to get back to designing again and the 100 other impossible tasks and projects I have assigned myself.

Before I forget, Flip and I are being filmed for a segment on a regional news WFMZ Channel 69, which serves Eastern Pennsylvania on Second Life. The filming is tomorrow. I am not sure yet when the footage will air.

In other media related news a friend of mine told me that she saw me in a documentary on the history of the video game recently. Has anyone seen this program? I think it was on CNBC, which would make sense if they used the footage we filmed for “On the Money” last March.
