Weight Logging for whatever day it is
Sunday, May 24th, 2009My weight has been holding steady around 169, which I am fine with. I’m doing fine on the maintenance plan for Weight Watchers. My fibroids are still acting up, which is annoying and until it regulates back to some semblance of normality I am going to stay on the maintenance plan. I still want to lose another 10-15 pounds, but I can be patient.
In the meantime, I am still exercising and staying active. I got Kundalini Yoga dvd from Netflix and I absolutely love it. Its challenging and different from most of the other yoga dvd’s I’ve seen. Each section has a series of poses and you’ll focus on one for a few minutes transitioning and repeating it with increasing speed, which is rather challenging at times. Oh and the best part, you have to keep your eyes closed the whole time. More than anything I love the kundalini meditation with gongs. Its amazing and beyond relaxing.
As I am writing this I just noticed Madelaine is stretched across the folded towel on my yoga mat. She does quite a nice sphinx. I wish I had my camera because she looks so fricking cute.
Maintenance Addendum
Wednesday, May 13th, 2009I just switched my Weight Watchers plan over to maintenance for the time being until my fibroids start behaving themselves then I will work towards losing the last 10-15 pounds. I wonder if the cumulative and consistent weight loss triggered a flare up? Supposedly, keeping your weight down is one of the best ways to control them. I’ll see how it goes and where my weight stabilizes in the end before I head back into losing more weight. In any case, on the maintenance plan I get 27 points per day instead of 23. They also suggest a minimum of 28 activity points per week. On an off week, I am usually well above 30 and in a good week am more in the 50 activity points range. I attempt 10 per day, but that is not always possible.
Weight Logging for 5/13/09
Wednesday, May 13th, 2009My weight is still in flux this week in the low 170s. I can’t tell If I’ve plateaued or if its just being wonky because my fibroids are acting up. I’m thinking its the latter, though I suppose all the muscle conversion through exercise is probably contributing to it.
Anyways, everything else is still in check diet wise. I’m hanging in there. I dread lowering my points becase 23 is fairly low as it is. I’ve been managing ok, but dipping into my flex points more. I’m wondering if I should switch over to the maintenance plan for awhile until my fibroids settle down. I just don’t want to gain the weight I lost back or get complacent. Though once I am back to normal, I think getting through the final 10-15 pounds should be a breeze.
Weight Logging for 5/1/09
Friday, May 1st, 2009I think my weight fluctuations were due in part to my fibroids acting up. Last weekend I settled in around 174. Today, settled in at 171, which is awesome. I weighed myself yesterday morning and was hanging around 176. I’ll keep an eye on it, but I think I am making progress.
I picked up some small at home fitness items including one of those tension cords doo-dads. It came with a 30 minutes dvd workout, which kicked my ass up and down and all around. I should’ve bought a light tension cord, but opted for the medium. Ay well, I’m building my upper body strength up gradually so its a handy addition to throw into the mix. I also got one of those tension exercisers for your hands and fingers too. I started with light tension. I also picked up a new sports bra and a proper yoga top to solve my “motorboating” problem lol.
