15ml Lemon | 190pv ER Exclusive
When life gives you lemons, diffuse Lemon oil! You are going to LOVE the bright, citrusy scent and taste of Lemon!! I add Lavender and Peppermint to help enjoy being outside when the seasons change!
Lemon helps your brain LISTEN. Diffuse for those rowdy kiddos! Use it as a natural “goo gone”, stickers on picture frames (what’s the deal home goods).
5ml Northern Lights Black Spruce | 190pv
It smells like a magical enchanted forest filled with the prettiest trees in all the land. Northern Lights Black Spruce (NLBS) essential oil comes from Young Living’s Northern Lights farm in British Columbia, Canada. They built a farm just to harvest and distill this stuff. You know the rich, woodsy, and invigorating scent in Valor?? That’s Black Spruce! Fave uses? I diffuse this with some of my favorite oils: Lavender, Valor, Peace and Calming, Wintergreen and Peppermint. NLBS is also great for releasing emotional blocks, grounding us, and respiratory support.!

This guy has 9 active probiotic strains and contains 16.5 BILLION active cultures to support your digestion, immune, and intestinal healthy. So now we know WHAT probiotics are, but WHY do we need to use them?? Probiotics can help your normal digestive system absorb more nutrients which plays a key role in maintaining your health. 15ml Sacred Frankincense | 300pv
Mental fatigue and brain health are two main things that Sacred Frankincense may help support. Also may be used to deepen spiritual awareness and reduce the brain “noise” while enhancing calmness, allowing the brain to better use its own innate abilities for learning and decision making. Great for supporting the immune system and cellular health.
Every month Young Living gives us amazing products for FREE when you order a certain PV amount. These freebies will come with your order. The ones marked *ER Exclusive are for Essential Rewards orders only. I'm particularly excited about the Christmas Spirit and Tea Tree since they were already on my November ER order, and now I get them for FREE!!
5ml Christmas Spirit | 100pv ER Exclusive
Christmas Spirit is amazing. I've been diffusing it since my last ER order came and love it!! This is a blend of Orange, Cinnamon Bark, and Spruce, and it really is magical. You can diffuse it all by itself, or you can add another “woodsy” oil (i.e. Pine, Northern Lights Black Spruce, Idaho Balsam Fir) and a drop of Peppermint. You can also combine 4 drops of Christmas Spirit with 2 drops of Frankincense in the diffuser and enjoy a sense of calming and an uplifting up spirits throughout your home.
15ml Eucalyptus Radiata | 190PV
Must have for the fall/winter months and all the seasonal yuckiness associated with it. Eucalyptus Radiata is one of the key ingredients in Thieves, but it also has a lot of great benefits and uses on its own. You can add Eucalyptus Radiata to a relaxing massage, or diffuse it for an afternoon pick-me-up. Along with helping support a healthy immune system, you can also apply it to your chest before a workout to feel energized and to support healthy respiratory function. With its crisp, refreshing aroma, you won't get many complaints no matter how you use this amazing oil. Try a few drops on the floor of a steamy shower!
15ml Tea Tree | 190PV ER Exclusive
Tea Tree might actually be the most well known essential oil out there. Tea Tree has cleansing qualities, it's great for skin, helps with booboos, and has a crisp, purifying scent. I use it in a lot of my skin care products. Add a drop to your nightly moisturizer, or diffuse it with Lavender for a clean, delightful aroma filling your home. Everyone uses Tea Tree in one way or another, so getting a free 15 ml bottle is a great way to be rewarded for buying these oils that we love so much and have transformed our lives.
15ml Pine | 250PV
It is amazing diffused. Like Eucalyptus Radiata, pine is also a must have for any oily home during the fall/winter months. It’s also great for calming and relaxing, especially when nervous!
Christmas Tree Ornament | 250PV
You can add oil to the little container and the diffusing sticks make your tree smell amaze. Stunning and simple and beautiful!
15ml Frankincense | 300PV
I use Frankincense A LOT due to it benefiting the skin. It is also a great oil to have around during the... well all year actually because it has so many benefits beyond skincare.
I attended a discussion/talk at a conference about self-care for people who spend their days in front of a computer screen, like me. I have incorporated many aspects of self-care into my daily schedule since I have a 9-5 desk job and studies show that sitting all day is highly detrimental to ones health. These are some of the things that I do on a regular basis to take care of myself during the day.
This holiday season give the gift of wellness with Young Living. All the items below are new releases for the 2017 holiday season.
The topic of using essential oils to support sobriety came up in the EO group that I am in last night and I gave it some thought as to how using essential oils could potentially help support the various symptoms and issues that arise through the journey of sobriety.
I would preface this by saying that you should consult with a medical doctor first and if detoxing from alcohol or drugs are involved – this needs to be done under medical supervision at a rehab or hospital setting – quite frankly because you can die because detoxing can cause seizures and other life threatening conditions. During the detoxification phase someone in a hospital or rehab setting will not be allowed to have things like essential oils in their possession because they could be used to smuggle in drugs or alcohol.
If the sober person is out of the detoxification phase and out of rehab or a hospital setting, they can use essential oils pretty much like any of us would use them. Some precautions may need to be taken if they have a dual diagnosis meaning that they have underlying mental health conditions, in addition to their addiction or alcoholism and may be treated with other medications. It is very important to note that grapefruit in any form should not be ingested if you are on medications because they can cause you to absorb them rapidly which can lead to some nasty side effects. I’ve had to avoid ingesting grapefruit for many years because of the bipolar/ADD medications that I am on. I can use grapefruit essential oils sparingly topically or in a diffuser without any issues.
Essential oils can help support someone living in sobriety, but cannot replace the crucial components of living sober such as daily AA/NA meetings, having a sponsor and a solid support network, psychotherapy and medication regimens if required. Always consult a medical doctor for any questions or concerns as the Internet, while it is a great source of information, can give you conflicting results.
***Please note that in some cases when dealing with things like cravings and/or severe anxiety and depression: ALWAYS call your sponsor or go to an AA/NA meeting immediately and in some cases, you may need to seek medical attention if you are in danger of using again.***
Some of the areas where essential oils can help support your sobriety will focus on liver support, emotional support, cravings, nausea, and memory issues. This is not a complete list as everyone’s experiences in sober living are different.
Liver support – alcoholism and drug addiction can cause damage to the liver over time. You can use some essential oils to support healthy liver function. There are many different oils that can help support the liver such as: JuvaCleanse, JuvaFlex, Rosemary, Fennel, Thyme, Lemon, Cypress, German Chamomile, Peppermint and Juniper. These oils will also help support the digestive system as well. It is recommended that you see a medical doctor and have blood work done to evaluate your liver function from time to time.
Anxiousness and Stress are common in sobriety and essential oils can help support minimizing their effects. Peace & Calming II, Valor, Joy, Stress Away, Ylang Ylang, Lavender, Release, and many other oils can be diffused or applied topically. It is recommended to see a mental health care professional if these symptoms persist and are in danger of becoming unmanageable.
Sadness can be common when dealing with a major life change like sobriety – it can often preclude the ending of some friendships, relationships and general habits. This can cause you to feel sadness and longing since you will not want to hang out at your local bars or attend parties with friends where lots of drinking may occur. As with feelings of anxiety and stress, Peace & Calming II, Valor, Joy, Stress Away, Gentle Baby, Sara, Release, and many other oils can be diffused or applied topically. It is recommended to see a mental health care professional if these symptoms persist and are in danger of becoming unmanageable.
Cravings - One or two drops of Thieves on the tongue can help to curb cravings. In addition, you may be having other symptoms like anxiety, stress, and sadness that may contribute to the cravings. Consult your support system and/or medical professionals if you are in danger of relapsing.
Nausea can sometimes be an issue in the early stages of sobriety. My go to for nausea or other digestive discomfort is to mix Thieves, Peppermint, and DiGize with Coconut Oil and rub it on my belly.
Sugar and caffeine cravings are common after someone becomes sober. You could minimize caffeine intake (if you are using it for the energy boost) and diffuse En-R-Gee or use it in a roller with other essential oils and a carrier oil like Jojoba. I personally like diffusing En-R-Gee with Peppermint and Orange on days that I need an extra energy boost. Some oils can help stave off sugar cravings are: Cinnamon, Grapefruit, Coriander, Fennel, Ginger, Peppermint, Bergamot, Ocotea, and Dill as they support your endocrine system.
Memory issues can result from years of alcoholism and addiction. Rosemary, Basil, Cypress, Peppermint, Lemon, Ginger, Grapefruit, and Sage can help support any lingering memory issues that you may be experiencing.
If you or someone you know is struggling with alcoholism, addiction, or maintaining sobriety, please seek medical attention right away – their life may depend on it.
It's that time of the month again!! The October 2017 Essential Rewards Promos have been announced.
5ml Cinnamon Bark Vitality- helps promote a healthy immune response and fits any healthy lifestyle regimen. Pop it in a capsule with some coconut or olive oil for an immune system boost. Add a drop or two to your favorite fall baking dishes. Enjoy a drop in some warm apple cider! Cinnamon is one of my favorites this time of year - mix it with Clove and Orange for a touch of autumn spice in your diffuser or roller.
15ml Raven: Raven is like RC’s big, powerful brother. Apply a few drops of Raven to the chest to release tension in your body that is hard to process. Diffuse it at night for breathing comfort.
15ml Digize: Used for digestive support becauseour immune function lives in the gut. A drop of Digize in a capsule, under the tongue, or in a glass of water is a good place to start! I like to take a few drops of Di-Gize along with Peppermint and Thieves and rub some on my belly when its not feeling so great. For pregnant mamas, I have heard that a single drop massaged on the outer ear helps with normal morning sickness.
Breathe Again Roll On
Apply Breathe Again to your neck and chest before heading out to enjoy the changing leaves and the scents of autumn! Breathe Again is a blend of four types of Eucalyptus, Laurus Nobilis, Peppermint, Copaiba, Myrtle, Manuka, Rose Hip Seed oil, and fractionated coconut oil. Literally the bomb for healthy respiratory function.
Super C chewable tablets: Prep your immune system for chillier weather with Super C chewable tablets! This immune-supporting supplement includes Orange essential oil, camu camu, rose hip fruit powder, and acerola cherry. Vitamin C is one of the most important vitamins required by our bodies. Because our bodies cannot manufacture vitamin C, we can benefit by consuming this powerful antioxidant daily. At the very first sign of some immune support needed I start popping these!
I recently was diagnosed with severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea and just got my CPAP machine. The first thing I thought was "Oh No! Can I use my diffuser and sleepy time oils if I am using a CPAP machine for Sleep Apnea???" My sleep study showed that I stop breathing every TWO minutes and wake up 22 times an hour without knowing it, so the CPAP machine is extremely necessary.
I've been diffusing various combinations of essential oils for rest and relaxation over the past year and love it. But, with a CPAP mask covering my face at night, I was wondering if it was still worth it to diffuse my night time oils - the short answer is yes. The CPAP machine pulls air from the room and both are placed by my bedside so it shouldn't be a problem. I can also diffuse oils prior to going to sleep with the CPAP mask on too.
I noticed that since I am getting older that the skin on my neck was starting to feel rough and was feeling loose. But, never fear - There, in fact, is an oil for that! I did some research and made a neck firming serum, which I have been using for about a month now. I've noticed that in that time, my skin is starting to feel smoother and firmer.
Here is the recipe:
Geranium oil can help eliminate the appearance of scars and dark spots on the skin. It can also prevent the skin from sagging too or can be used to firm the skin over time. I use it in a few different DIY body care. It has a strong perfumey scent, but in this case mixes well with Cypress and Frankincense.
Frankincense oil promotes cellular health and is essential for the skin as it also helps to reduce the appearance of lines, wrinkles, scars and stretch marks. Overall Frankincense is great for calming and soothing the skin and is very gentle. I pretty much use it in all of my skin care products for these reasons.
Sweet Almond Oil is perfect for any skin type especially if you have sensitive skin, acne, eczema, dry, irritated, or oily skin; Almond Oil provides a plethora of hydrating benefits without agitating sensitive skin. Not only is it a perfect moisturizer, but Almond Oil also helps to restore the skins natural protective barrier. It moisturizes your skin and is versatile, so it works in many beauty recipes. It is high in vitamins A and E which nourishes your skin. Do not use sweet almond oil if you have a nut allergy. Sweet Almond Oil has a comedogenic rating of 2*.
*Comedogenic ratings as it pertains to carrier oils and essential oils is a determination of whether or not certain oils with a rating of 0-5 will cause your skin to breakout because of clogged pores.
One of the things that I love about Young Living is that they also have a charitable foundation. They are more than just a company - they are a community.
The Young Living Foundation delivered nearly twenty pallets of care kits to help some of the Young Living members who have lost everything in the historic flooding in Texas from Hurricane Harvey. They also provided the donations received by Young Living Essential Oils employees and over 100,000 packets of water.
Many Young Living Essential Oils members showed up on Sunday to help unload all of the pallets with the care kits, water, and donations so they can help Young Living members this week. They also purchased over $4,000 in tools and cleaning supplies.
They are still in need of volunteers to help with manual labor this week and next week and have set up a command center in Conroe, Texas. If you are in the area and available, please fill out this volunteer form and they will contact you directly with details: http://www.iconnectoutreach.org/contact-us-volunteer/.
